Churros

Not too too much to report today. We woke up late and made a lunch of chicken sauteed in a teriyaki sauce with pasta (with good romano cheese). After that, we watched tv and Dave studied. Around 5 he had to go meet some classmates so I stayed behind and watched some 30 Rock and slept a bit. I was to meet him at 8pm outside of his class. I got there a bit early but he was out early as well. Bea and then Mariza followed and we all walked over to Al Mustafa for Lebanese food. I liked the decor of this place a lot. It looked very Lebanese, not that I really know what that is, but it is as you would imagine it. Really, very very cool. We sat at a table in the back and also got a place for travis at the end who would be joining us after he was out of class. I was still a bit tired so I got coffee to start (it was just like Turkish coffee, so I think it was more like liquid cocaine), and then Dave and I decided to split 2 entrees (although thats wrong really, they call them mains here). We got this chicken kabob thing with a garlic sauce on the side (pure garlic) and then kafta. The chicken was great, but I wasn’t such a fan of the other. It was too sausage-y. I don’t think I’m ready to make that transition yet. Travis came before our meals arrived but he just had hummus. After that, we went pretty much next door to San Churro. I have not had churros since Spain, when I was 18, so this was very exciting. The place was packed but we got a table after a few minutes wait. Dave and I split churros and Laasya and her friend joined us at the end too. Mmm chocolate. The 4 of us walked back to suv and that was pretty much the night. Animals tomorrow!
