Thanks for visiting my blog!  I’ve been writing about my travel experiences since 2007, mostly for myself and friends, but I hope that my entries can help others enjoy traveling more, too.  I’ve traveled to nearly 40 countries on 6 continents and have done both low budget and higher end trips (although very few of the latter!) — whatever it takes to have fun and enjoy a new culture.  I’m not a backpacker (although I am pretty cheap) and like many Americans, I only get a limited amount of vacation time each year.  My focus, therefore, is on maximizing your experiences without maxing out your budget.  In other words, “Style Hi”.

In the real world, I work on Measurement Science for a large market research company, exclusively on our social media business.  I’m a very mathy person although I do enjoy a bit more creativity than my job affords me. Of course I would also enjoy more vacation time than my job affords me (2 weeks currently ) so I use my creativity in figuring out how/where/when to travel.
